Middle School Campus Visit
On October 9, 2006, a group of 30 Middle School students from Chicago visited CEAT as part of a one day program sponsored through the Mc4West Academy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The students visited the CS, Physics and CEE departments within the College of Engineering and other areas of campus, including a tour of Memorial Stadium and Illini Football Facilities.
CEAT hosted a one hour session on Water Physics and the Affects on Materials. The Center’s Graduate and PhD students, Matt D’Ambrosia, Yi-Shi Liu, and Ben Birch led the demonstrations and hands-on activities for this session.
